How is a pen made?

The birth of a pen must go through R&D and design, mold design and manufacturing, proofing and verification, surface treatment, assembly, inspection and testing, etc. Each link has extremely high technical content and standardization requirements.
The first step is to develop the design. First, the design sketch stage is carried out. The designer develops wild ideas according to the needs. Then comes the review of the design sketch. The design sketch is screened based on the design requirements and current technology as a reference, and the selected designs are selected. The plan is three-dimensionally modeled based on the concept of the sketch, and the specific dimensions and details are refined. After the modeling is completed, the drawing is rendered and typed into a rendering plan to participate in the review of the design plan.

The second step is the mold design and manufacturing process. The workshop develops and manufactures according to the tasks issued by the R&D and Design Center. The entire process is divided into mold opening, component testing, assembly, and overall mold testing and debugging. Beifa has also achieved good results during its thirty years of development. The third step is for the injection molding shop to develop and produce the components required for injection molding. Beifa injection molding workshop uses a scientific and reasonable management model to formulate special quality management matters, and compiles various problems that are prone to occur into tables to achieve timely discovery, timely resolution, and timely feedback.
In a high-demand and high-standard operating process, batches of high-quality, high-precision Beifa pens are continuously produced.

The fourth step is the surface treatment process. Beifa’s writing instruments are divided into five printing methods, namely heat transfer printing, pad printing, silk screen printing, roller printing and hot stamping. Different printing techniques are used according to the characteristics of different pens. All printing processes of Beifa are mechanically automated or semi-automated.

The fifth step is the assembly process. In order to reduce costs and increase efficiency, Beifa has invested heavily in large-scale automated production and has a sterile workshop. Every accessory is automatically assembled on the machine, which greatly improves efficiency. At the same time, it also ensures the high quality and high standards of the products. In addition to these automated equipment, JINCHEN still retains original reproductions of manual and refined operations for some products to meet different customer needs.

The sixth step is the inspection and testing process. JINCEHN has a national CNAS-certified inspection and testing center. After receiving the inspection order from the relevant department, the center registers the samples, and then uses different machines and equipment to conduct tests according to different needs, including pen tip performance: size, initial writing angle, dew surface, Ball fixation, bead ejection force, lead content; writing performance: ink output, writing length and effect, writing lubricity, wear resistance, preservation, etc.
